What Does DV Look Like?

  • Constant put-downs or name-calling

  • Blames you for everything

  • Makes you feel crazy or worthless

  • Tells you what to do or who to see

  • Tracks your phone or social media

  • Cuts you off from family or friends

  • Controls your money

  • Stops you from working

  • Spends or steals without asking

  • Hitting, slapping, pushing

  • Hurts you, then says it wasn’t serious

  • Blocks doors or throws things

  • Pressures or forces sex

  • Ignores boundaries

  • Uses sex to punish or control
